    RegulatoryConnect

Live licence tracking for the pharmaceutical industry, and the front door the service was missing.

    Overview

RegulatoryConnect is the MHRA's Beta service for the pharmaceutical industry. Companies use it to track their licence applications and see live authorisation data, in place of the legacy systems, with clearer workflows and more they can do for themselves.

    Role and responsibilities

I joined the team during Beta to work on the Product Licensing journey, and took on the homepage and core hub pages, which the service didn't yet have.

Parts of the service had already been designed, but there was no front door. I designed and prototyped the homepage and hub pages that brought the separate areas together into one service.

Alongside that I mapped the Product Licensing journeys in detail and built fully interactive prototypes of them, so stakeholders and developers could see how the regulatory logic played out screen by screen.

    Phases

    Private Beta.

    Outcomes

    • Designed and prototyped the homepage and hub structure, turning separate journeys into a coherent service entry point
    • Produced clear Figma flows and fully interactive prototypes that sped up stakeholder understanding and decision making
    • Translated complex regulatory requirements into clear, step-by-step user journeys, allowing developers and stakeholders to understand exactly how the logic played out in the service
